Introduction

A little about me...
I am a water girl, in it, by it or on it, I just love it & being by it restores my soul. I love the bay & will drive over the bridge just to see it. One of my favorite adventures is sailing on the bay with the dolphins following behind us. I love to travel & find new adventures.  . I've been from FL to NY on the back of a Harley and further by car, bus, train or plane. The light of my life is my little grandson. My family is very important to me & a big part of my life. I also love music- i like some of most kinds but there is nothing like driving down the road with your hair blowing in the wind listening to good late 80's,early 90's songs. There is usually a lot of smiling & laughter where I go. I work in an elementary school (which is basically inner city). Some of these kids live lives you can't even imagine and have attitudes to match. But they are starving for someone to pay attention to them and love you for caring about them. I don't get paid a lot but I love my job because I love these kids and you never know when you are going to make a difference in a child's life. To work there is a very humbling experience and sometimes extremely hard, but so rewarding and at times these kids bring tears of happiness to your eyes.
What are you looking for in a partner?
I'm looking for someone who can carry on a quick witted, intelligent, funny conversation on a variety of subjects. He should have a joyous soul & a spirit of generosity,who truly cares about others & will go out of his way to help them,is kind & loving.One who has an optimistic outlook on life,sees the good in things & the glass half full instead of always half empty. Who laughs & smiles a lot.I'd like a guy who likes music & wants to dance with me, maybe even in the rain, who can be silly & play & laugh, even at himself. That has a youthful spirit & enjoys life & kids. Someone who loves the water & nature; who likes to travel & see & experience new things, hopefully enjoys historical places. I especially like civil war sites. Someone who has a wide variety of interests & doesn't want to just always sit around (although some TV & movies are a good thing). Someone who is not controlling & not upset when I spend time with my friends & family. A guy who wants friends & is a whole person on his own & not too needy so a healthy relationship is possible. Guess like the song "I'm searching for a heart of gold & I'm growing old"(older anyway).
I'd just like to add...
I have very diverse & varied interests. I am just as happy going to the theater as going to a baseball game. I love to celebrate & have fun with holidays, fireworks, parades, etc. The world has so much to offer, that it is hard to find just one thing I am passionate about. I always want to learn & try new things. I love to travel & see new places & meet new people. I especially like visiting historical places. One of my favorites is Chickamauga Battlefield in the N. Georgia mountains. I am a creative person & need to work on something to feel fulfilled. I always have some project in my head. I think I probably inherited my quirky personality from my Granddad as I have learned that he loved to experience new things & really lived life. I have to thank my mom for bringing me up to appreciate the finer things - music, good books, the arts & to be curious & always want to learn. I guess I should thank life itself for putting me through all that it has so that I have learned to be strong & optimistic. It has taught me that negativity gets you no where. Having a sense of humor, smiling & laughing is what keeps you going.
