Introduction

After 39 years as a special educator, I retired last June. I now substitute teach a couple of days per week at the middle school and high school levels, and I’m actually enjoying that quite a bit. Connecting with kids is kind of like breathing after so many years.

Also, although I love to travel from time to time, I also enjoy making a cozy home and sharing it with family and friends. I have three rescue cairn terriers, two of my own, and one foster dog. I hope you have a dog, also. Then you will understand my love for these creatures. I’ve been re-designing my backyard, with mixed edible and ornamental beds, raised beds, and berry bushes. I garden in the old school way, with my dad’s vintage pitchfork and shovel.

Politics has always been important to me, and while I respect other views, I need a partner who shares my liberal ones. I am active with my local Democratic Party, and I was recently elected to its board.

I found a great senior hiking group, and I study and perform with a student dance troupe from West Allis. My favorite spectator sport is baseball, and I support the Crew through thick and thin [mostly thin lately]. I also love to fish, and I can bait my own hook. ;-)

I am seeking a kind, down to earth man who has been saving a spot in his life for a woman like me. :)
