Waking up to sunshine and clear blue sky, reading the paper and having breakfast on the patio, taking a walk or a drive, stopping at an interesting place for lunch or early dinner, returning home to pop popcorn for a movie in front of the fireplace and settling down for the night.

In my free time I like to explore (different neighborhoods, eating places, bookstores), attend sporting events, experience cultural happenings and whatever else that sounds interesting.

I'm still looking for my favorite local hot spots, but I do enjoy going down to the waterfront to watch the people and ferries. I have traveled to New York, Toronto, Las Vegas, Reno, Senegal and Jamaica and I would like to do more travel in the future.

Other interests include: a variety of music, everyting from Andrea Boccelli to Led Zeppelin. TV musts are The Closer, Law&Order, Burn Notice, Memphis Beat, Sportsnation, Real Housewives, History, Food Network and HGTV. Food taste varies-southern, Italian, Indian, Greek, Mexican, Cuban - I like to keep my food options open. Reads are current events, fiction, historical and whatever catches my eye.
