I'd like to say that I'm an older "Barbie" doll--but that's not me. I'm a down-to-earth retired teacher with 2 grown children and 4 beautiful grand-children. I love children, old people, and dogs. I'm sensitive and caring and am looking for the same in someone I'd like to meet. I believe in honesty and faithfulness and was raised with old-fashioned values. I grew up in the country, and still live in my hometown. I enjoy reading, cooking, baby-sitting, and the outdoors.
I love to go for drives in quiet country towns, but also occasionally like the "big-city" life.
I'm looking for a nice, good-hearted, romantic man to first be friends with and then see what it leads to. I want someone to be my friend, lover, and confidante'--someone to grow old with.

I think just meeting for coffee and conversation would be a great first date.
I think you should get to know me because life's too short not to take a chance on someone that interests you.
Past relationships have taught me to just enjoy life and really live, not just exist. They've taught me that everyone has value and something to offer in life. I've also learned not to view every date as a possible "mate" for myself, but rather as a friend and companion.
The most important thing in my life is God--He has done so much for me. After that is the wonderful family He's given me and the opportunities to enjoy life that He's provided for me.
My perfect day would be to take an early-morning walk and "see" the world waking up. Then, in the afternoon, YOU would pick me up and we'd go for a drive to a small town in the area and "browse" through some interesting craft and antique shops. We'd have dinner at a cozy little restaurant and talk and laugh. As the evening began to fall, we'd drive back home and watch a movie and enjoy a glass of wine. After that, who knows????
I've become very independent in life because I was a single-mother who raised two children. I had to learn to make my own decisions and not depend on anyone else to support me. I'm at a stage now, in life, where I can accept the fact that I may never find a "life-partner", but I can make it without one, if I'm not fortunate enough to find that person.
